Program Overview
Saksham is an empowerment program designed to identify and mentor the youth into financially independent adults. As we apply holistic interventions conscious of their unique backgrounds and experiences, the aim is to create self-sustainable individuals who lead the way for younger generations.

Our Locations
The program is being run at the Pune ISC Centre. It benefits the girls and young women living in and around the Yerwada, Lohiya Nagar and Vishrantwadi areas in the heart of Pune.
Activities
Professional Training – Tailoring
- 15 sewing machines to train young women in tailoring
- Production and sale of masks, bags, gift items, apparel, and home decor
- Proceeds of entrepreneurial initiatives given to women for financial independence
Skill Development – Accounting and Photography
- Career-oriented courses in Accounting, MS-CIT, and Tally ERP
- Courses in alignment with the government’s Skill Development Drive
- Collaboration with SNDT University for Office Administration, Account Executive, Tailoring
- Certified course in photography basis in-demand career trends
- Photography course to teach basics of using a camera, technical aspects, and building a career in visual arts
Entrepreneurial Development
- Training by ILO Trainer on Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB)
- Aim to introduce a Certificate Course in Tailoring.
- Course to be offered to 50 women from Yerawada and neighboring slums.
- To empower women financially and help them gain recognition in their family.
