Program Overview
Saksham is an empowerment program designed to identify and mentor young girls and women into financially independent adults. As we apply holistic interventions conscious of their unique backgrounds and experiences, the aim is to create self-sustainable empowered individuals who lead the way for younger generations.

Our Locations
The program is being run at the Pune ISC Centre. It benefits the girls and young women living in and around the Yerwada, Lohiya Nagar and Vishrantwadi areas in the heart of Pune.
Activities
Professional Training – Advance Tailoring, Wellness & Beauty, professional Mehendi
- 40 sewing machines to train young women in tailoring.
- Production and sale of accessories, apparel and home decor at Saksham's Retail outlet in Pune and Lonavala.
- Proceeds of entrepreneurial initiatives given to women for financial independence.
- Fully Equipped Wellness & Beauty centre.
- Professional set up of photography course.
Skill Development – Photography
- Courses in alignment with the government’s Skill Development Drive.
- Certified course in photography basis in-demand career trends.
- Photography course - to teach basics of using a camera, technical aspects, and building a career in visual arts.
Entrepreneurial Development
- Facilitating government schemes Tie-up.
- Encouraging up-skilled women to stand on their feet.
- Imparting training on financial awareness.
