Position: English Teacher – Secondary Stage

Role Overview:
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, we are seeking a motivated English Teacher for the secondary stage who is committed to fostering multidisciplinary and experiential learning. The ideal candidate will be adept at integrating NEP 2020’s focus on critical thinking, multilingualism, and skill-based education in their teaching approach. This role requires innovative, student-centered pedagogy that emphasizes foundational skills, flexibility, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with NEP 2020 objectives, focusing on critical thinking, communication skills, and application-based learning.
- Language Proficiency Development: Enhance students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities through varied activities that promote linguistic and cognitive development.
- Competency-Based Education: Implement assessments that measure core competencies over rote learning, supporting students’ understanding and mastery of language and communication.
- Interdisciplinary & Experiential Learning: Integrate project-based and cross-curricular learning experiences to connect English language learning with real-world contexts and other subjects.
- Incorporating Multilingualism: Leverage the NEP’s emphasis on multilingualism by creating an inclusive environment where language learning respects and builds upon students’ linguistic backgrounds.
- Technology Integration: Use digital resources, e-books, and online platforms to support blended learning, encouraging digital literacy as part of the NEP’s vision.
- Mentorship & Life Skills: Serve as a mentor, fostering essential life skills such as empathy, collaboration, resilience, and adaptability.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development sessions to remain updated on NEP-aligned teaching practices, including workshops and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Parental & Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents and community members to support the holistic development of students and communicate progress effectively.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher certification, ideally with an understanding of NEP-aligned practices.
- Experience teaching at the secondary level with a focus on interactive, experiential, and competency-based learning.
- Proficiency in English and familiarity with at least one regional language, as promoted by NEP 2020.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of NEP 2020 guidelines and their implementation in the secondary stage.
- Experience in project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching methods.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment and foster an inclusive learning space.
- Enthusiasm for holistic education, with a focus on students’ social-emotional growth.
